What is Kettering?
Kettering is an invitation-only networking organization for Executives, based in Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated to enabling professional and personal growth and networking opportunities in a pay-it-forward environment to the Executive in all stages of the Executive Life Cycle. To these ends, Kettering offers regular networking opportunities, engaging speakers on a wide range of topics as well as Special Interest Groups.
How Do I join Kettering?
Kettering is an invitation-only Networking and Professional Growth Organization for Executives. Candidates for membership much be sponsored by a member in good standing and must go through a thorough vetting process before being accepted into the organization. What is Kettering’s “Pay-it-Forward” Culture?
“Pay-it-Forward” is fundamental to what Kettering is. As a networking organization, the expectation is that every Kettering Member will be there for other Kettering members, taking calls, making introductions, providing advice, etc. But that’s not all there is to it. Kettering members are expected to “give back” to the community and to those in need through Kettering Community partnerships as well as through personal give-back activities. What is a Kettering “Special Interest Group?”
Kettering Special Interest Groups (or “SIGs”) are groups that meet monthly around specific topic categories from functional areas like Finance or Sales and Marketing, to more general interest such as Women and International. There are also “special” groups such as the “Business Lab” which leverages the knowledge and experience of the Kettering Membership to help small and start up businesses. Finally, there are “pure” networking groups such as the Kettering Coffee Connections which meet in small groups to “Pay-it-Forward” by helping each other with whatever challenges they are facing. What does Kettering mean by “The Executive Life Cycle?”
Today’s Executive is being faced with a variety of challenges in a dynamic and sometimes unfamiliar environment. Kettering is dedicated to help the Executive prepare for and deal with whatever challenges come his or her way. Whether employed traditionally full time, a business owner, a fractional executive or consultant, or in transition, the Kettering member can find formal (through speakers, events and SIGs) and informal (via networking) support to help them achieve their professional or personal goals. This is what we mean by “Success Accelerated.”
How do I become a Kettering Partner?
Kettering membership is by invitation only and candidates are vetted based on experience and P&L responsibility. Kettering vets our Partners also because we want it to be a good fit so it can function like a true partnership.
